The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to strengthen agency-wide Human Resources (HR) communications and improve clarity, consistency, and adoption of workforce initiatives. This role plays a critical part in helping employees stay informed, supported, and prepared for organizational change. This is not a social media or marketing role. It is a strategic internal communications position focused on human resources programs, workforce policy, and organizational change that affects employees and leaders across the agency. As the Internal Communications Specialist, you will serve as a strategic partner to HR leadership, shaping communication approaches from planning through execution. You will help ensure employees understand workforce policies, organizational changes, and the "why" behind key decisions. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Advisory

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position. Three (3) years* of experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies and supporting complex organizational communications. *Associate's degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute six (6) months of experience; bachelor's degree substitutes for one (1) year of experience; master's degree substitutes for eighteen (18) months of experience.
