Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusiveeducational community, and have a desire and ability to work with a diversepopulation. The Auxiliary ServicesManager is responsible for overseeing and managing the college bookstore andauxiliary services operations on campus, ensuring efficient operations,financial performance, and high-quality service delivery to students, faculty,staff, and the broader college community. This role involves strategic planning,day-to-day management, and oversight of contracted services or college-runoperations to enhance the student experience and contribute to the college'srevenue streams. As the primary point of contact for students, faculty, andstaff, this position supports order fulfillment, resolves issues related tovirtual ordering, and ensures compliance with academic deadlines and textbookadoption requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage daily operations of auxiliary services, includingonline bookstore, gear shop, and other auxiliary services as assigned;
- Coordinateon-site support services related to bookstore and gear functions, includingsupply distribution and physical pick-up/drop-off;
- Create andlead institutional policy on required adoption timelines, cost transparency,and early pricing, aligned with HEOA (Higher Education Opportunity Act andother applicable guidelines;
- Establishvendor service level standards, issue resolution protocols, and orderfulfillment benchmarks;
- Determinepolicy for escalation of student complaints related to course materials access;
- Inpartnership with the MassBay Office of Accessibility Resources, developinstitutional Inclusive Access policy or policies;
- Ensurehigh levels of customer satisfaction across all auxiliary services, offerindividualized assistance to students, support faculty with textbook adoption processes, deadlines, and platform navigation;
- Assistwith the administration of textbook-related financial aid programs, includinggrants, scholarships, and emergency support;
- Overseeexternal vendors providing auxiliary services, ensuring contract compliance andperformance standards;
- Researchand collaborate on contracts and service agreements with the ProcurementDepartment;
- Ensurecompliance with MassBay policies, relevant regulations, and best practices;
- Assess theneeds of the College community and develop strategies to enhance existingauxiliary services or introduce new services, implement sustainabilitypractices in alignment with the College's environmental goals;
- Preparereports on to inform planning and support;
- Collaboratewith the MassBay Marketing & Communications Department to create anddistribute guides, FAQs, and other materials and resources to promote awarenessand effective use of auxiliary services;
- Workclosely with College departments such as Procurement and Business Operations,Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Business Office, Marketing & Communications and Student Development to ensure a smooth operation andexcellent customer services and seamless service delivery;
- Participatein professional development activities;
- Recruit,train, and supervise staff, including potential contracted/part time staff,involved in auxiliary services operations;
- Performother duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent education and experience;
- Minimum of3 years of experience managing auxiliary or related services;
- Excellentorganizational skills, attention to detail and quality;
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability tostand for extended periods of time and stock 6' shelves;
- Ability tostand, walk, and move between buildings on campus;
- Ability tolift and move supplies or equipment up to 35 pounds;
- Coordinateand receive palletized deliveries and returns;
- Commitmentto the community college mission and serving the needs of first generation andtraditionally underserved populations;
- Commitmentto embracing diversity and serving the needs of a diverse population, includingthe ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and studentbody.

Additional Information:
Salary Range: $55,000- $70,000 annual salary
