New Jersey Resources (NJR) summer internships provide engaging learning and growth opportunities for enthusiastic college students ready to build real-world experience and learn about the energy industry. New Jersey Natural Gas, a subsidiary of NJR is seeking a Decarbonization Intern to assist the Innovation department. We believe the most successful ideas and outcomes result from the collaboration of those with unique perspectives and experiences to leverage our strengths and achieve our priorities. What you will do: Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities. • Identify and prioritize products and programs that will add value to the companies decarbonization goals. • Provide market intelligence and assist in market research to support strategic planning goals. • Work to understand and complete different financial models and cost analysis on different projects. • Work alongside different teams and business units to address innovation and decarbonization. • Research technologies and help with calculations to determine viable products that will impact our business. What we are looking for: We’re looking for self-starters who are motivated to learn, grow and take on new challenges. Individuals who are flexible, dependable, work well in varying environments and want to make an impact in your community and your company are welcomed here. Requirements: • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance or related field; entering senior year in Fall 2025. • Strong analytical and research skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Passion for sustainability and decarbonization. • Ability to work hybrid/onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
