Outreach Assistant will assist with in-person visits with schools in North/Northeast Portland, Parkrose and Woodburn School Districts, with time spent in our primary office on Marquam Hill. The Outreach Assistant will facilitate pre-developed lessons with students from 6th-8th grade, prepare materials at our primary office, and support events at OHSU. We are looking for someone who is available two days per week (M-F) who can commit to a minimum of six hours per day during regular working hours for a total of 12-15 hours per week. On Track OHSU! is part of OHSU's Office of Science Education Opportunities and works to increase the racial diversity of OHSU's schools and programs and of Oregon's biomedical workforce. On Track works with students starting in 6th grade and stays with those same students through high school and college. On Track has been working with students since 2013 and is currently partnering with communities in North Portland, Parkrose, Woodburn, Warm Springs, and Chiloquin.
