Position Summary The Director will partner with a physician dyad colleague for financial, clinical, and operational outcomes of the Perioperative Services area. The Director, a member of the Operations Leadership of the organization, is responsible for operational direction within the Periop division and leads strategy, business development and operational planning for all system sites. The Director has responsibility and accountability to ensure that all services and programs provided through the Perioperative continuum including Preop, PACU, CPD (Central Sterile Processing), Limited Stay Unit (LSU) and Business Analytics/Planning are patient/family focused, clinically excellent, operationally efficient, and achieve effective outcomes in clinical quality, safety, cost, experience, and staff engagement. The scope and focus of the Director's leadership responsibility is to inspire, mentor, develop, and provide direction for the staff and program areas, including clinical services, clinical and health services research, professional/ community education, safety, access, and performance effectiveness within the Service area. The Director will foster a culture of caring and inclusivity that fosters positive interdisciplinary team dynamics. The Director must coordinate the work of nurses, interdisciplinary caregivers, and leaders of the associated programs and units, while monitoring and supporting the clinical acumen and engagement of such staff associated with the Service to meet current and future needs. License/Certification/Registration: *Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota or eligible for licensure. Education: *Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required. *Master's degree required in healthcare related field (preferably nursing, MBA with healthcare focus, or MHA). *Professional nursing certification required (or achieved within 1 year of hire). Experience: *5+ years of clinical experience. *5+ years of progressive management and leadership experience. The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
