Department Overview The Anesthesia Department provides all types of anesthesia services to children on an inpatient and/or outpatient basis on the Minneapolis, St. Paul and West Campuses. Additional services include: Respiratory and airway management and professional consultation for patients requiring unusual pain management techniques or analgesic nerve blocks. In order to minimize patient anxiety and fear, parental involvement during the induction of anesthesia, whenever safely possible, is encouraged. Position Summary Job duties include administration of general anesthesia. Current MN state RN License. Current BLS Certification. PALS and/or ACLS certified or eligible. Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program, accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist License, Nurse Anesthetist National Board of Certification for Nurse Anesthetist. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist License, Nurse Anesthetist National Board of Certification for Nurse Anesthetist. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
