Carilion Clinic How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: Experienced Carpenter / Locksmith. Maintains, services, troubleshoots, analyzes/evaluates, repairs, and installs / constructs wooden structures, sheet metal, doors, windows, cabinets, shelves, locks, closers, door operators, all associated hardware for preceding items, and other parts of hospital facility as directed including large and / or complex systems. Leads specialty projects.
What We Require: Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a trade or vocational school or equivalent experience. Experience: Five years Carpentry / Locksmith experience in commercial or healthcare related maintenance required. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia Driver's License preferred for positions in the hospitals and required for Property Maintenance positions. Other Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity with all relevant codes for hospital's and commercial occupancies. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to communicate with co-workers and others. Ability to maintain required records, and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to use a computerized work order control system. May be asked to provide basic general purpose maintenance tools. Position is deemed "emergency personnel" during emergency weather conditions. May be asked to provide own transportation and travel to other Carilion work sites. May be required to work at other Carilion facilities to meet staffing needs.
