New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the utility specific financial forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis functions for New Jersey Natural Gas. This role is responsible for strategic and financial planning, economic and financial modeling, evaluating the impact of corporate strategies, and internal financial reporting. You’ll serve as a key business partner, translating financial results and concepts while collaborating with management. Develop and lead analytical discussions surrounding the historical operations, the annual budget process and long and short-term forecasting of NJNG results of operations and cash flows.

Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the annual budget, multi-year forecast, and long- and short-term financial plans.
• Develops and maintains the Financial Plan for New Jersey Natural Gas and the associated financial model.
• Analyze monthly financial statements and prepare quarterly forecasts, comparing actual results to budget and prior forecasts.
• Support regulatory affairs with financial analysis for rate case planning.
• Collaborate with business leaders to provide financial guidance and strategic recommendations.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through in-depth financial analysis and recommend data-driven actions.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; graduate degree or MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive financial experience, including budget and forecast preparation, maintenance, variance analysis, and management.
• 3–5 years of management experience.
• Utility industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to model and troubleshoot existing financial forecasts and projections.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to present complex data and insights clearly and creatively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders.

Other Details:

Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $115,900- $147,700.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
