Position Summary The Epic security coordinator's primary responsibilities will include provisioning application security levels and roles, establishing ownership of each security class, and coordinating security template and role updates. The successful candidate will also establish a security change control process and coordinate security-related activities across physical, infrastructure, and application teams. In collaboration with application and compliance teams, the role involves designing system-level access, creating user records, and mapping them to templates built by application coordinators and analysts. Additionally, the candidate will create appropriate shared security classifications that do not have specific application ownership and maintain procedures to activate, deactivate, and update user records. License/Certification/Registration: *Epic Security Certified - Required Education: *Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a related area may substitute for degree. Experience: *7+ years of experience in hospital/clinic healthcare setting with experience supporting an EHR, related applications, and integrated workflows. This same experience with an EHR vendor is also acceptable. *Experience with software application tools used for application build and data manipulation. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities *Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and/or financial software applications *Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses and various other hospital staff. *Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing with all levels of associates and management. *Ability to effectively converse with individuals of different levels of business and technical knowledge. *Knowledge of analytical processes and problem-solving skills. *Ability to evaluate business user needs against current system capabilities. *Ability to accurately and effectively translate business requirements to high-level system specifications. *Familiarity in the use of Microsoft Window products (Word, Excel, Access and Project) or equivalent. *Aptitude for learning new software tools and products. *Familiarity with the software development cycle. *Leadership, , planning, estimating, and organizational skills. *Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and manage sub-projects. *Proficiency with Project Management tools or methods. The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
