New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Supplier Relations Consultant to act as a liaison to third-party gas suppliers and coordinate billing and other administrative services.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain business relationships with and act as liaison between third-party natural gas suppliers and New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) from system set-up through addition, transfer, and withdrawal of customer accounts
- Coordinate and process commercial, industrial and residential customer enrollments, switches and terminations for the Energy Choice Program
- Provide EDI and non-EDI support to supplier inquiries regarding supplier billing, bill options, and customer account issues
- Process customer demand reviews and update records; calculate and process customer/supplier billing adjustments and oversee escalated complaints
- Reconcile and review supplier electronic bill files on a timely basis
- Prepare data for monthly gas nomination volumes
- Oversee daily read process from all Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system devices as they relate to transportation billing
- Review PowerSpring AMR reports to assure devices are functioning properly; work with meter shop personnel to resolve issues
- Support upgrades to the PowerSpring system as needed
- Prepare wire payment authorizations for third party suppliers
- Act as website content leader; maintain content for Energy Choice Supplier Relations section, including historical price table data
- Prepare monthly supplier billing, inclusive of any special gas events
- Assist with special projects as requested
Position Specifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years industry related experience or the combined equivalent in education and business administration experience is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software applications desired
- Knowledge of Utility Customer Information and Meter Data Management systems desired
- General knowledge of metering, billing, accounts receivable and collections required
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, problem solving and communication skills required
- Ability to work under pressure to meet mandated deadlines, working both independently and within a team required
- Flexibility in scheduling time away from office required
- Strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce required
- Thoroughness and accuracy in accomplishing tasks required
